Wizard Burger... one of Albany's local vegan foodplaces. I've gotten their 'chikn' nuggets before. They're okay.
As a little punk venue... That's a whole other story. They don't have a live sound setup, it seems like they just encourage any bands they work with to use their amps.
It's Halloween 2024. A few days before the election... Why not we just take our minds off of all the dumb shit being spout by the two right-wing candidates? (haha) While not a fan of Halloween, it's a little fun seeing everyone in costumes. I, of course, didn't bring mine. I don't think I've bought a Halloween costume in like... 8 years?
Now, like I said at the beginning, this isn't a typical venue. And typical venues usually have proper space for everyone. The space here is legitimately just the seating area for the restaurant, so here I am, cramped up against the side of the area, getting slammed by the moshpit that's doing a side-to-side. There's a certain point in this gallery where I completely give up on taking any good photos and just put my camera on a windowsill to join the pit.
Anyways... Casket it good. I can't remember the set that well, but I did go to a show at Eldorado on September 12 (where Flatwounds was also playing at hahaha) and brought my video camera to. I'll refer to that. I never made a page about the show on vibracobra because I am lazy.
The lead singer (Colin) sounds like a mixture of Kurt Cobain and Alice in Chains. Hell, their songs are even mixed exactly like Alice in Chains songs. This guy is also one of the only lead singers I've seen constantly try to encourage crazy moshpits. I'm not against it, though!
Nothing much to talk about at this point. After the show, I went to Denny's with a bunch of friends and indulged on some mozzie sticks and onion rings.
